Registering a domain and hosting one is usually mistaken by many people to be the same thing. They are actually 2 separate services - the domain registration is the actual name and nothing else, while the hosted domains feature reveals the amount of already registered domain addresses that one could accommodate within the same web hosting account and have site data and e-mails for them. Your sites will work in precisely the same way regardless of whether the domain names are registered and hosted at the same place or are registered with company A and pointed to company B. Simply registering a domain name without hosting it will grant you ownership, but will not allow you to have a site if you don't host this domain name in some account so that records for it are created and it starts opening the information from that account.

Hosted Domains in Hosting

When you use hosting you can host a different number of domain addresses, no matter whether you register them through our company or with some other service provider. If you host only a couple of domains, you'll probably use less system resources, so you can go for a lower-end plan, which will be less expensive. If you want to add more domain addresses in your account later on, you can add more slots using your web hosting CP and keep the current plan or upgrade your entire plan and use the added system resources for the new domain addresses. Each of the upgrades takes only a few mouse clicks and is activated instantly. As registering and hosting a domain are two different things, there isn't any limit on the number of domain names you can register regardless of the plan you’ve signed up for.

Hosted Domains in VPS Servers

Our VPS servers can be used to host unlimited domain names regardless of the hosting Control Panel that you choose during the ordering procedure. You'll have plenty of resources to use, so you can choose how many domains are going to use them. If you get the VPS with cPanel, you can create an individual hosting account for every domain name and we don't have a set limit for the amount of accounts that you can create. If you choose our Hepsia Control Panel, all domain names are going to be handled using a single account i.e. there will not be a main domain address and add-on domains like with the other Control Panels. The second option may very well be more convenient if you do not need to provide access to a specific domain to other people and you do not want to switch between accounts to handle the domain names that you host on the server. Moreover, any new domain that you register via Hepsia shall be hosted automatically on the server without doing anything manually after that.
