.NAME Domain Names

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME universal TLD is the single TLD supposed to be for personal websites only. These domains can consist of personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are known by. Initially, just 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you planned to register john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Existing 3rd-level domains remained running.

Through our firm, you can secure your .NAME domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to update the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer authorization key from the present domain registrar and we will renew it when the transfer has been finalized. There are no particular requirements on who can reserve a .NAME domain, but in order to preserve the goal behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.

The .NAME top-level domain name extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the proper spelling in your local language.
